Mango Airlines was conceived on 30 October 2006, and became known as the first true low cost airline in South Africa and operates domestic scheduled budget services. Mango's first flight departed on the 15 November 2006. Mango is a firm favourite for people wanting to fly in comfort, but at a reasonable price. Mango is a low cost airline based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is owned by South African Airways. Its main base is OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

Is it a bird no, it's a plane but it's orange! Mango airlines fly with bright orange aircraft, and they do it in style!

Mango Airlines is South Africa's newest low cost airline.

It launched in December 2006 and has caused quite a stir in the South Africa airline industry.

Although it is a government owned and is a subsidiary company of South African Airways. Tulca PTY Ltd will function separately and independently of SAA.

History :

Mango was launched on 30 October 2006 with bookings going on sale at midnight on the same date. Mango’s first flight took place on 15 November 2006. Mango is a low cost airline featuring a uniform fleet of aircraft with high seating density. Mango also offers online ticketing.
